The Pony Program

Developing Quality Ponies for the Next Generation!

At A.Star Equestrian, we carefully and patiently develop small, medium, and large ponies for hunters, jumpers, and equitation. From starting under saddle to gaining experience in the show ring, our focus is on building confident, willing ponies with strong foundations, ready to help young riders pursue their goals and enjoy the journey!

From the first ride to the show ring

Starting

Groundwork, long lining, and thoughtful introductions under saddle create the foundation for a willing, confident partner.

Producing

Consistent flatwork, progressive jumping exercises, and new experiences help develop balance, rideability, and understanding.

Showing

Patient preparation and purposeful show mileage help ponies gain confidence and put their training into practice.

A track record of producing and cultivating talented ponies!

At A.Star Equestrian, we have not only started and produced successful competition ponies, but also helped ponies who have lost confidence or encountered challenges along the way. Through patient, individualized training, we work to rebuild trust, address gaps in their foundations, and help them find their footing again. Whether developing a future show pony or giving one a fresh start, we believe every pony deserves the time, understanding, and opportunity to succeed.
